Girly date

Korra and I had such a fun day together. Besides when Malachi is at preschool, we don't get much time alone together. So when Dan and Chi left for the cabin this morning I thought it would be great to do all things girly. So we went grocery shopping, bargan hunting, and shared subway for lunch. I even let her pick out three cookies so she could try them all and I could eat the left overs. I always appreciate her much more when she is alone. She is a whole new lady. As we sat and chatted over lunch once again I realized how important our relationship is and how very much I love this little lady! I am so thankful for a little girl and how much joy she brings to me even on the sassiest days!

Spring is near

The kids and I decorated the slider with washable paint this morning in hopes that the words will ring true and spring will be here soon!

bragging on little pants!

Due to her stubborness, Korrayah she fell asleep on the bedroom floor at nap today. Ever since her cousin was over last week she insist on sleeping in Makayla's bed (pack and play). I told her no today and she refused to sleep in her bed.

This little lady (aka little pants)recently had her two year check up. She is growing up so fast...bitter-sweet! Anyway I was suprised to see that she was back on the chart for weight at 23.75 lbs which puts her in at 10%...She didn't grow much taller a 1/2 inch to be exact putting her in at 6% a well porptioned little peanut! This little lady may be be small, but she makes up for it in attitude!

She had another suprise for us this month-----she is officially wearing big girl pants...I have to say I think she was easier than chi to train and he was easy....(knock on wood)!

Lately she has been telling everyone her full name ... and I love it when she says it. She has also been adding our last name to all her little friends (ie Aleah Kapenga)...love it!

I can hardly wait to spend time doing all the girly things with this little lady .. I am going to admit that I think we are a lot alike...(I better prepare myself for the teen years).

A splashing good time

We spent this past weekend with my parents at Splash Universe in Shiphewana. Malachi had so much fun sliding on the slides, Korra was just as content to wade in the kiddie pool. My little brave pants was not so brave. We spent countless hours in the indoor water arena, but also found some time to enjoy the Amish countryside, an arcade, and a puppet show (Malachi's favorite of course).

Like most of you we have lots and lots of snow. Snow days always bring so much fun. The past few pictures is just a glimpse of what we have been doing! Hanging is our jammies, playing in the snow, board games, eating in the living room (wow a really special day!), and baking!
