Happy 5th Birthday to a very special boy. I still can't believe you are mine!~

Here are a few of your loves: batman, movies, swimming, riding your quad, fishing, hockey, wrestling, mud running, reading books, and basketball. You can play by yourself for hours. You have such a great imagination...the other day we found you wrestling with a camping chair. You are always looking to learn more about anything ... asking questions about everything...your teacher is going to love you lol!

This year you will be heading off to young fives and my heart will break to see you go, but I know you will love school! I pray you will continue to be the strong sensitive boy you are. You are so much like daddy in that way. Like I always say, "love you sweet boy."

Her hands looked like this after we found the blackberry patch lining our yard. Now every chance she gets we find her looking for the black berries to eat!

Korrayah loves Maci. She really loves any baby, but she can't hold just any baby.

Super boy turns 5!

In two weeks this little guy turns 5~! Since we will be just getting back from camping on his birthday we celebrated tonight with family! He thought it was his real birthday and this morning walked into my room and said, "mom can you tell if I am taller?"
Of course the theme was superboy..aka batman..hence the batman attire.

Can you guess what Malachi got for his birthday...yes Dan and I went through and bought a trampoline. I can still remember when we got our first trampoline....I know this will provide years of entertainment for our children!

Grandma Kapenga spent lots of time on this great cake. As you can tell Malachi was super excited about it. He had been eyeing this cake pan on ebay for weeks!

Of course each kid had to have a cape to complete their small mission. These were simply made by cutting a triangle like shape and stitching on ties. I did a simple iron on for the intial.

Overall I'd say another sucessful birthday party. Now to find room for all his new goods. He already has tomorrow planned out with all his fun toys!

a week at the ranch

We spent the past week at Cran Hill Ranch with Dan's family. The kids love playing with their cousins. We spent lots of time down by the lake and the kids spent countless hours playing on the play area.

What is a ranch with-out pony rides. Even Korra was into the ponies this year!

Korra loved playing with her cousin Ellie. Every morning she asked for Ellie!

I love this one of Korrayah as she is just crashed out! She has been going going going....she is loving summer!!! I hope she sleeps this good the next few weeks while we are on vacation!
