Apples, apples, and more apples!

Last night we ventured out to Conklin to pick apples! Well let me tell you it was worth the drive when you pick well over 8 bushels! All those apples are ours (well not mine specifically..but my mother-in-law and I picked them all ...besides the few bags the kids helped with).

The kids did great! I love picking fruit!

They each started with their own bag and to my suprise Malachi filled his bag and was able to help me fill the multiple bags we had left to fill! Korra did good just eating them!

My mother-in-law keeps her apples all winter..for nice hot applesauce anytime...the secret...ida reds in a cooler or black garbage bag with a tablespoon of water... in a cool building...she puts hers in her garage covered with a blanket!
