Road trip

 When Dan knew he would be heading to New Orleans for the NADA convention for work he thought I should go along with him! I wasn't quite ready to leave our little peanut and knew if I brought her it may mean a lot of alone time at the hotel. Things started to line up when my mom broke her ankle on New Years Eve and was going to be off work for 6-8 weeks. We asked her to come along and babysit. So we headed out for our suppose to be 17hr trip on Thursday afternoon. The accident on 94 left us in a 5 hour stand still making our 17hr trip to be well over 23hrs (with bad roads).

 

This was our view of the roads!! Not pretty! Good think little peanut did great...only saw this sad face once in a while.

 

During the 5 hr stand still we were able to take her out of her seat and hang out for a while. We ended up driving through the night to make it to Dab's first dinner party! Boy where we glad we made the dinner party the food was amazing! My mom was a huge helping by babysitting every night so I could go to the parties each night and entertain the different dealers.

Dan's co-workers hotel was amazing and we were able to take a few fun pictures before traveling the town with my mom and Norma! It is such a neat town filled with so much history (and a little bit of a wild side too I may add!).

 

 The dinners were amazing! One night before dinner we took a carriage ride through the town!

The weather wasn't awesome, but way better than here! 60's!!! I will take it! The ride back was pretty uneventful. Although we did try to stop and break up our trip, but after 4.5 hrs of sleep Kre would not go back down so back into the car we went!

We returned home to the snow...and lots of it!
