We took a mini trip to Detroit this weekend to participate in the make a wish walk. The walk was held at the Detroit zoo. Make a wish grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses.Through-out the walk we were able to see different statistics about different wishes that were granted. It was so neat to see how so many people are being blessed. While we were able to enjoy the zoo, it was also a great opportunity for us to bless others.
Our favorite animal was the giraffe! What an extraordinary creature.
We even witnessed a kangaroo fight...awesome!

At one point during the walk we stopped at a wishing well, how appropriate!
Anyway as the kids made their wishes and threw their pennies in, I could help but think that our wishes must be so lame, here we were at a make a wish walk and my five year old is wishing for a tv for her room. We take advantage of good health everyday. While the make a wish kids so appreciate the fancy trips and electronics, all of them would wish for good health if it came that easy. The walk is the least we can do to help make a least one wish come true!
Make a wish and make it reality while you can!
