A Week ago

A week ago we weren't really sure what to expect. We didn't know if she was a he? We didn't know what her platelet count would be or how big she would be or just how much we would love her!
We didn't know her birthday would also contain a death of someone very special to us. A week ago we learned God gives and takes away. He gives life, he gives health, he gives strength!
Dan's Grandpa passed away the night Kreana was born. His Grandpa was sick, but death is always unexpected. While Grandpa's earthly body and life is no more (is taken away), he is given new life. Eternal life (God gives!)!
So a week later we still grieve, but we also celebrate. Celebrate Grandpa's life and celebrate the life God has given us. The life of a tiny baby that brings so much joy! We pray and hope she leaves a similar legacy as Grandpa did.
