a year ago

A year ago today you came.....big blue eyes and a big cry to go with those eyes. Today as I was finishing up your scrapbook to have at your party I was reminded of this past year. My what a year can do. I think a few tears even spilled on your book (sorry about that). You sure have grown into quite the little lady...with a lot of personality. You get into everything and around here we call you: "drama madonna", "drama queen" or "miss America" ... any of them fit. You have such a zest for life....the life of the party. When you were born you had a very low platelet count..scaring mommy and daddy. The nurses drew blood several times even making us come back days after you were born for more blood tests. They were worried as well, they sent us to Devos Children's hospital for more blood work and a consult with the dr. Your platlet count continued to go up and now you are as healthy as ever. Mommy and Daddy are not sure that another baby would be a good idea considering the risks of having another baby with an even lower platlet count is likely(Neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia), so we enjoyed every little endevour with you. We held you more, kissed you more, and spoiled you more. Today my sweets you are turing one, but you will always be my little baby. You truly are a miracle and a blessing to our family.
